Davenport Firefighters Use Former Hotel for Training

Bush Construction, construction manager on both the Davenport Central Fire Station project and the Riverwatch Place project, aided the fire department in acquiring a fire training opportunity by acting as coordinator between Davenport Fire Chief Lynn Washburn, the Riverwatch Place development team, and Kyle Carter with Demolition Davenport and the Downtown Davenport Partnership.

“We appreciated the opportunity to help coordinate the use of the soon-to-be-demolished Howard Johnson’s building. That building will provide a unique fire training opportunity for our Davenport firefighters,” said A.J. Loss, President of Bush Construction, “There aren’t many buildings in the QC that could have accommodate Chief Lynn Washburn’s need to provide mid-rise training for her team. In this situation, our partnership with the fire department extended beyond our upcoming renovation of Davenport’s Central Fire Station.”
