Coming Together for Our Community
Bush Construction takes pride in helping others in the Quad Cities area. While we have received recognition for giving back to the community, our greatest reward comes from knowing we’ve made a difference in the lives of those who needed us.
On October 1, 26 members of the Bush Construction team volunteered their time to build a home for a family in need with Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities.
“Volunteering with Habitat allows us to contribute our talents and skills back to the community,” said Amy Simler, Administrative Services Manager at Bush Construction.
Our work with Habitat for Humanity doesn’t end after working on this home. This month, Bush Construction’s Andy Martens will compete in the annual Mr./Ms. Habitat Annual Gala at St. Ambrose University. Competing in the pageant event for the first time, Andy is excited to represent Bush Construction and give back to the community.
“I have a few costumes in place, including my formal wear,” says Andy. “It’s going to be a comedy pageant for a good cause, and I’m happy to be a part of it. I’m excited to raise as much money for Habitat for Humanity as possible!”
The evening of fun will benefit Habitat for Humanity’s mission here in the Quad Cities.
“It’s extremely important to give back,” said Andy. “You have to invest in the economy so it can help you out in the long run.”
“The enthusiasm demonstrated by the employees of Bush Construction is remarkable,” says Rob Davis, Vice President of Operations. “Whether embracing new learning opportunities or stepping up to lend a hand to an organization or an individual … it’s inspiring.”
Bush Construction is proud to be a leader in our industry, and in our community, giving back to organizations and individuals who need our help. To learn more about how the Bush Construction team is engaging our community, please visit our website.
