Bush Construction begins work on a new community asset
Bush Construction is proud to be involved in the building of phase one of the St. Vincent’s Athletic Complex—a complex that includes two football, soccer and lacrosse competition fields, as well as a softball field and small concession stand.
This is the first phase of a multi-phase project that will enhance the experience of the students and athletes using the facilities. The natural-turf softball field as well as the other synthetic turf competition fields currently under construction feature a sophisticated sub-drain system which controls the ponding of water on the fields, allowing students greater use of the fields—even during weather events.
Not only will the transformation of the land create better facilities and a safer athletic environment for the students at Assumption High School and surrounding schools, but will also provide a new space for the community to use as well.
“This project is transforming 13 acres in downtown Davenport and turning it into a space that benefits the whole region,” said Ryan Welborn, Project Manager at Bush Construction.
“Bush Construction is proud to be involved in another great addition to our community,” said Welborn. “Our team loves to be a part of long-standing positive relationships with our communities and neighbors, and enjoys helping to keep our community attractive for the next generation.”
Phase one of the St. Vincent’s Athletic Complex is estimated to be completed in the spring of 2016, with the second phase of a larger stadium construction following shortly afterwards.
